Outer tails harnesses are also covered in high-temp flexible loom tubing to prevent abrasion and crushing. It also offers some waterproofing capabilities. Inner tail light adapter has an unpinned wire left intentionally for those that would like to retrofit rear fog lights (requires new light switch assembly running some cables to the light). If you don’t want that feature you can leave the cable as-is. This adapter is strictly for NORTH AMERICAN tail lights.
